About Abdul Rasheed

I served as a GIS intern with the City of Atlanta Department of City Planning, where I supported applied geospatial projects involving data preparation, web mapping, dashboard development, and spatial visualization. I worked on the ACRB Allegations Dashboard project, where I organized and mapped complaint records, standardized allegation categories, configured dashboard filters, and built visual tools for exploring public-sector data.

Core Skills & Experiences

  • GIS-based spatial analysis using ArcGIS Pro

  • Proficiency in Esri tools, including Survey123, Experience Builder, and Dashboards
  • Transportation GIS & road safety risk mapping

  • Remote sensing & Landsat NDVI time-series analysis

  • Drone/UAS orthomosaic mapping

  • GPS-based field data collection

  • Flood and erosion risk assessment

Career Goals

I am focused on building practical GIS experience in public-sector planning, transportation, environmental analysis, infrastructure mapping, and decision-support dashboard development.

Connecting Data to Impact

What sets me apart is my ability to bridge GIS, field data, and emerging technologies such as drone mapping to tell clear spatial stories. I approach GIS not only as mapping but also as a problem-solving tool that connects data, analysis, and real-world impact in transportation safety, environmental risk management, and public-sector decision-making. I also take pride in working independently, learning quickly, and completing projects ahead of time.
